Cookies and browser storage

The journal is built to work without optional tracking. Here is what its own code stores, what it does not store and how to change your preference.

What cookies and local storage do

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can place in your browser and receive with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser facility that saves values for a website without automatically sending them with every request. Both can fall within rules about storing or accessing information on a device.

The static journal code does not set HTTP or JavaScript cookies. It does not include analytics, advertising trackers, third-party embeds or cross-site profiling. Its images, scripts and stylesheet are served as local site resources. Following an external link takes you to another provider, whose storage practices are separate.

Our preference record

Browser storage used by this website’s code
ItemPurposeDuration
funbalconybrixl-cookie-preferenceRemembers your explicit choice of Accept or Essential OnlyUntil changed or cleared in your browser

This local-storage value contains only “accepted” or “essential”. It does not contain your identity, contact message or browsing history. It is saved only when you use a preference button. If storage is unavailable, the journal remains readable and no optional tracking is activated.

Your controls

Cookie preferences

There are currently no optional cookies to enable. Accept records your preference but does not activate analytics or advertising. Essential Only records that you do not want optional storage. You can change either choice here.

No optional cookies are used. JavaScript is needed to read or save a browser preference.

The message tool is not draft storage

The shot-note tool keeps its working text in the current page. It does not store messages in cookies or local storage. A download creates a file on your device, and Copy Message uses your clipboard if your browser allows it. Browser autofill, form restoration, clipboard history and device backups are controlled by your own software.

Change or clear storage

Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or remove storage for funbalconybrixl.buzz. Clearing site data removes the saved preference. Private browsing may discard it when the session ends. Blocking local storage does not prevent you from reading the articles, though the preference controls will not remember your choice.

If optional technologies are introduced later, their purpose and duration must be explained and any legally required consent obtained before they are used. An existing Accept value is not blanket permission for unrelated new tracking.
